After suffering more t This was very confusing to read. David was dominant in an abusive way — taught by his father. I would have liked to know more about Kat’s life history as I got the feeling that there might have been a story there but the focus was on David’s dysfunctional family, not hers.

The characters were vivid, their story was heartwrenching, the emotions were raw. However, both storylines were so interesting that Generatinoal was dying to get back to both of them.
I found it kept me anticipating what was going to happen next at all times! This just left a foul taste in my mouth. They want nothing but to love each other but David’s fear of his father and fear of himself are a wedge that can completely tear them apart. This story sis Kat the submissive showing David the control to be the dominate that he wants to be.
She spent most of her life being a responsible, self-disciplined adult, and she wanted some time where she didn’t have to be in charge. Why Kat want to be spank and why David need to give it to her. Kat showed him how to be the Dom in their relationship. David lived in a world with no safe words and no control with his actions because his father had embedded his cruelty in to David.
That ONE person whom is your lover; best friend, your confidant, teacher, support, your greatest strength and also your biggest weakness. It only took me a couple of days to complete it, which is quite the feat for me and my busy schedule LOL My emotions were a roller coaster as I felt the pain and the love that Kat and David suffered on and off through the book. That was a refreshing change. But he wants to make his father proud so he starts to follow what his father says and make up lies to please him along the way This book is not for the faint hearted or the under 18s.
So not good for those who don’t have a lot of time to read and actually have to set a book down. Male Dominant, Female submissive Warnings: I normally dislike books that include multiple timelines, alternating between the past and present.
David’s father, Richard, sees woman as a lesser equal. I really think Kat played against what many see as the stereotypical Submissive woman; she may like to submit to her partner sexually but that does not mean she is not a smart, strong, confident independent woman at the same time. This isn’t a romance. He’s one caring and loving husband. This is not a book that I will forget long after reading it. I also liked the way Samantha Blair told the story in timelines each chapter told from Kat and David’s perspective. I am so glad that I finally read this story and this will definitely be marked as one of my favorite books.
This isn’t a book I would re-read. I loved how samzntha relationship flourished with the main goal of keeping Kat happy.
Yuck, yuck, and yuck! This book contains very adult situations and is not suitable reading for those under the age of eighteen. I was really surprised by how much I ended up enjoying this book.
