So once you find an emipre who can so creatively rouse your interest and get you invested into researching it’s a brilliant thing. The same fate lies in wait for the Persians in the third book of the series, ‘Bones of the Hills’.

Also the book had us further into Chin territory and coming across the Sung Dynasty, yet the majority of the book was then conquering Europe. Tumour Lenk would also make an interesting subject. Thanks for telling us about the problem. And the descriptions of battlefields and strategy had me completely engrossed. I like reading about how these women working together, overcoming igguoden crisis after another, weathering all sort of plots, schemes and assassination. Hamilton or Wilbur Smith. The author Conn Iggulden doesn’t get dry or stale. I particularly appreciated the way that family resentments and vendettas are carried over from previous books, making this feel like just one part of an epic series.
Is it geographically correct? Honestly i haven’t found a writer yet that would impress me as much as Conn Iggulden when it comes to historical fiction.

Normally, I am opposed to learning anything from the books that I read as I highly prize my state of ignorance about most things, especially history. A Novel of Julius Caesar. As one brother awaits his fate, another awaits his moment to seize power, while spies and assassins play out the ambitions and destinies of their masters. Without them at the end of this book, my rating may have looked completely different.
